There is two main types of Arabic language: Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) and dialects. Most people begin to learn MSA thinking this is how the language is used in the Middle East. The bad news for them is that it is not. MSA is the equivalent to Shakesperean English and imagine approaching someone on the street with such formal speech! Whereas Arabic dialects are the most practical Arabic to learn. You can use it in day-to-day life in the Arab world, which will allow you to interact more with locals. It’s a living language that will add value to whatever reason you want to learn Arabic.
